Hello, and welcome to Claverton Art Group!

We are a super friendly and welcoming group of artists, of varying abilities from beginner to those who have painted for many years! Guided by our tutor, David Chandler, we explore the many different aspects of making pictures, from composition, to using light and understanding colour, and getting our paintings to tell a story, pushing our creative and fulfilment boundaries.

Having a resident teacher is a huge advantage, as it makes our learning structured, as well as consistent in style. We are also encouraged to learn collaboratively from each other. As well as exploring different topics, we paint pictures for inclusion in our annual Exhibition., the most recent of which was held on March 17th 2024.

We meet weekly on Wednesdays (in 3 terms per year) working in watercolour in the mornings (10-1230) and acrylic in the afternoon (1.30– 4.00). Our classes are held on Wednesdays at Claverton Down Community Hall, Claverton Down, Road, Bath, BA2 6DT.

Our next term starts on September 25th 2024.
