Sally Parkes - painting is something I turn to for relaxation, to take me away from everyday things.   I concentrate on the subject and get transported to another world.   I have painted with Claverton Art Group for many enjoyable years and have been on several painting holidays with David Chandler our teacher.   I usually take a sketchbook when away and draw memorable scenes, sometimes to be transposed into a painting on return.
